Our Story

How Aevumly Came to Be

Aevumly began with a conversation — one that many of us recognise. A friend, nearing sixty, sat across a desk from a professional and walked away feeling less clear than when she arrived. The language was technical, the documents were unfamiliar, and no one had taken the time to explain what the words actually meant.

That experience sits at the heart of what we do. Our founders, who between them had backgrounds in adult education and organisational consulting, saw that there was a practical gap: people could access financial professionals, but they often lacked the basic literacy to make the most of those conversations. They were not poorly informed by choice — they simply had not had a comfortable, low-pressure place to learn.

Aevumly launched in Bangkok in 2019 to address that gap. The name comes from the Latin aevum, meaning age or lifetime — a nod to the long arc of life that later-stage planning touches. From the beginning, the focus has been on creating sessions that feel like a thoughtful conversation with a knowledgeable friend, not a lecture or a sales call.

Over the years we have worked with individuals, couples, and small employer groups across Bangkok and the surrounding area. Participants have included long-term expatriates navigating cross-border pension questions, Thai nationals approaching government retirement systems for the first time, and people returning from careers abroad who want to understand what their years of contributions might mean in practice.

We do not sell financial products. We do not offer personal investment or legal advice. What we offer is a patient, structured space to build understanding — one topic at a time, with materials you can take home and return to as your thinking evolves.

How We Work

Our Standards & Commitments

Educational Content Only

All programmes are designed and delivered as general educational information. We are not a licensed financial advisory firm and never position our content as personal advice.

Participant Privacy

No personal financial information is ever requested or collected in our sessions. Participants engage at the level they are comfortable with, keeping all personal details private.

Current, Maintained Content

Our materials are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in Thai pension systems, social security frameworks, and general later-life planning topics relevant to Bangkok-based residents.

Small Group Commitment

Sessions are deliberately kept small to allow space for questions, reflection, and a pace that suits the participants present — not a preset schedule.

No Commercial Partnerships

We do not receive referral fees or commissions from any financial institution, insurance company, or product provider. Our only revenue comes from programme fees.

Data Protection

Participant contact information is held securely and used only to manage programme logistics. We follow applicable data protection principles under Thai law.

Our Values

Patience, Clarity, and Respect for the Process

Later-life planning is not a race. For most people, it is a gradual process of understanding — of learning what questions matter, gathering relevant records, and building a picture over time. Aevumly exists to support that process with materials and sessions that respect where each person actually is, rather than where some notional checklist says they should be.

We work with people across a wide range of starting points. Some participants come in with a solid sense of their pension entitlements but want help making sense of their records. Others are starting almost from scratch and simply want to understand how the systems work. Both are entirely reasonable places to begin, and our programmes are designed to serve both.

We place particular care on avoiding the pressure that often accompanies financial conversations. There are no calls to action in our sessions that encourage participants to make decisions or purchases. The goal is always understanding — which then equips people to have better conversations with the professionals they choose to work with.

Based in Lumphini, Bangkok, we are well-positioned to serve both the Thai-national community and the long-term expatriate population, many of whom have pension contributions spanning multiple countries and need a thoughtful starting point for understanding how those pieces fit together.
